Abstract

The mechanisms of cerebellar neurogenesis have been redefi ned in the last few years, showing the precise spatio-temporal sequence of neuronal generation from neurochemically heterogeneous pools of progenitors. Here we describe these processes, highlighting the principal strategies used within this system to generate appropriate cell numbers and phenotypes.
