Abstract

The growing of network applications and the advances in network services demand for more complex and flexible network management techniques and systems. We proposed a three-dimensional evaluation theory model for network management system in our previous work [6]. In this paper, we formally define a specific network and security management system. Based on the definition, we give the detail and formal definitions of several critical and important evaluation indexes. We believe that the evaluation index definition for network management evaluation can reflect more accurately the status of the network in today's network environment. © 2014 Springer-Verlag.
