Abstract

The Most Significant Change Stories (MSC Stories) method is an approach to monitoring and evaluation that encourages participation from those being monitored. However, as of yet, the MSC has not provided any specific details regarding the different kinds of mediums that can be used or how the outcomes of the empowerment programs that have been carried out can be described. It is a possibility to support the MSC method with the assistance of participatory documentary films, which could be used as a potential strategic offer. This study's primary objective is to build a discussion about the opportunities for documentary films as part of the method of monitoring and evaluating programs by utilizing a participatory approach. The discussion that this study hopes to build is the main objective of this study. According to the findings of this research, it is something that can be done to use participatory documentary films as a method in monitoring and evaluation programs that are run by MSC.
