Abstract

Frequency hopping signal is analyzed in this paper using various time frequency analysis methods, including short time Fourier transform (STFT), Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) and its improvements. By comparing the hopping patterns derived from these methods, spectrogram (SP) is chosen to estimate the hopping period, hopping timing and hopping frequency, as well as to obtain some valuable measurement results. Finally, a practical method is proposed to test the parameters of frequency hopping signals. © 2013 Tsinghua University Press, and Springer-Verlag.
