Abstract

The photochemical reaction dynamics of chlorine dioxide (OClO) are investigated using femtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy. It is found that the majority of the dynamics can be attributed to the formation and vibrational relaxation of OClO from geminate recombination of the primary ClO and O photofragments.
