European capacity in the spunlaced market is now well over 100,000 tonnes, but recent technology developments are likely to find applications in sectors until now dominated by traditional textiles. The article identifies companies (and processes) at the forefront of spunlace technology and gives their viewpoint on the direction of the industry.
