Abstract

Jasmonic acid and closely related compounds show growth regulating properties in plants. They have been found in more than 30 plant species. In this paper we review what is known about the jasmonate biosynthetic pathway, biological activities, and mode of action. We also discuss the possible role of jasmonates in potato tuberization. © 1991 Springer.
