School management factors in organizational commitment in an educational network in Peru

Abstract

In education, organizational commitment is shown in the quality of pedagogical methods, in addition to the motivation of teachers in their dedication to educational objectives. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of school management on the organizational commitment of teachers in the educational network 02 of Puente Piedra in Peru. The research was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional; the population consisted of 158 teachers from thirteen institutions of the Network 02 of Puente Piedra-Peru, through the application of two Likert scale questionnaires, content validity by expert judgment and reliability by Cronbach’s Alpha; also, the hypotheses were tested by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test. The results show that the predominant risk dimension is the administrative dimension and the predominant protection dimension is the organizational dimension, which influences organizational commitment according to the teachers of the Puente Piedra-Peru Network 02. It is concluded that there is a diversity of factors that influence school management and the determination of the network, its organization defines organizational behavior, positively influencing the teaching-learning processes in the schools.
