A paeditrician presents two clinical cases of adolescents with diabetes. The first one successfully manages his treatment and lifestyle changes, while the other one has difficulties dealing with condition-related constraints and treatment adherence. Using those two clinical cases, a psychologist working in the pediatric field tries to highlight the psychological, social and family difficulties diabetic youngsters may face and the impact on the support of their illness. she also raises the question of the awkward place of the parents and of the doctor supervisor during the crossing of a diabetic adolescence.
