Abstract

The acyl-CoA:fatty alc. acyltransferase from developing jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) cotyledons was identified and characterized by using 12-[N-(4-azidosalicyl)]aminododecanoyl-CoA. A 57-kDa polypeptide from the microsomal membrane of developing jojoba seeds was shown to be the fatty alc. acyltransferase. [on SciFinder (R)]
