Abstract

In order to analyze the theme, I have selected the strategy of the utopian realism for understanding and tackling issues of nutrition and poverty. The text comprises two parts: the first one provides arguments on the utopia concept, understood as untested feasibility (Paulo Freire) and anticipation (Jerzi Szachi), and adds to the sense of the public and its basic attributes, i.e., universality, social visibility, social control, democratization, sustainability and civic culture, while the second part addresses the notions of interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity, essential to interpret the selected theme for pursuing the integration of various scientific areas.
