Nowadays, the performance of organizations including universities depends on the alignment of their educational strategy with the evolution of technology. For increased efficiency and improved productivity in their operations, universities around the world have been implementing and boosting ITs. This paper seeks to study a case of successful implementation of ERP system in the higher education sector in Cameroon. A model was based on the information system success model (ISSM) by Delone and Mclean (updated in 2003) from which we extracted only the relevant constructs according to our context. Results of the study showed that ISSM is well suited for studying a successful ERP implementation for universities, particularly in the Cameroonian environment. They also indicated that the feeling of belonging to an organization, work satisfaction and the perception of technological innovation are strongly influenced by the use of a university ERP system and the satisfaction that a user can draw from this use.
