Abstract

This paper presents design and control of a low-cost prototype Ball and Plate as learning resource tool, using second-hand components and Perspex pieces. A digital controller allows defining a specific position of a Ball and Plate. The position is sensed by using a flat which has a resistive sensor. A PID control by poles allocated was used. The Ball and Plate platform allows the operator to interact through an application and observe the reaction variable behavior by using an android device.
