Abstract

This study aims to describe the reading questions contained in the student book on the theme of Cita-Citaku for grade IV SD / MI using the cognitive dimension of Bloom's Taxonomy and based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS). This research uses descriptive method. The results showed that (1) The results showed that there were 104 reading questions spread unevenly. (2) The reading questions contained in the student book theme Cita-Citaku class IV Elementary School at the cognitive level of recall / C1 dominate with a much larger percentage proportion compared to other cognitive levels. (3) The reading questions in the student book with the theme Cita-Citaku class IV have not supported the students' high-level thinking skills, namely 55.77% of the questions are categorized as C1, C2, and C3 cognitive (lower order thinking skills) and 44.23% of the questions. including cognitive categories C4, C5, and C6 (higher order thinking skills).
