Abstract

The conservative lymphedema therapy with the complete decongestive physical therapy (CDT) still represents the most important column in the lymphedema rehabilitation. For elderly patients, especially when there are additional comorbidities, a modification of all four components of the CDT (skin rehabilitation, antisepsis, and care, manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, and decongestion movement therapy) is necessary.
