Abstract

This paper introduces a system that has been developed for the selection of cutting parameters of turning operations from the machinability data handbook by using Fuzzy Logic (FL) approach. Main objective of the system is to get rid of the manually input-output oriented handbook, so selection of cutting parameters is made by a user-friendly intelligent system. This system is visual and menu oriented; also usage of the system is very simple. © Springer-Verlag 2001.
