Abstract

In general, practicing reading and writing braille initially of the visually impaired. The students must know the location of the point. In each cell and must be able to remember that each consonant, vowel and number. The cell position teaching is the most important to learn of the visually impaired. This paper proposes the inventive for teaching braille writing begins. The design is a form of learning is based on learning standards and the application of electronic technology and programming to develop the inventive for teaching braille writing begins. The equipment consists of cells and points on the cell for supporting a writing pad (slate) to presses and audio to teaching from the device. So that the learner can learn the position of the point on the cell and the position of the point that occurs on the consonants, vowels and numbers both in Thai and English by themselves. The design of device consists of 3 cells in order to sufficiently write Thai consonants. Each cell consists of 6 points arranged in 2 columns. Each column has 3 points for supporting the pressing of a pencil (stylus), the size of the point and the distance of the cell. The designed using interconnected principles of electricity to send the position values of points in each cell let the micro-controller. The micro-controller process to control the operation of the machine and select the audio file on the SD card that corresponds to the operation in the learning mode. In various matters and test modes as selected by the learner.
