Abstract

This work investigates the trends and insights in future mobility and Indian mobility visions. With the rapid development and advancement in transport and allied sectors, the shape of future mobility is changing. The mobility solutions in urban and smart cities are flying with the wings of the recent advancement in transport sectors. This survey briefly touches the 7 C visions of Indian's future mobility. The 7 C visions are Common, Connected technology, Convenient, Congestion free, Charged, Clean and Cutting Edge. The review continues with the study of trends and advancement in mobility system and various regulations and policies for electrification in future mobility. Electro mobility, autonomous vehicles, connected vehicles, shared mobility are the key sector which tends the mobility system as smart. To become the electrification in future mobility, it positively reflects in environment and reduces the consumption of crude oils. There is rapid growth in Internet of Things (IoT) technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and allied areas. The rapid advancement in these areas will help to integrate various technological sectors like connected, autonomous, and shared mobility with the electric vehicles and it will help the transport sector became green and smart in future.
