Abstract

Rapid prototypingis a feasible approach to determine the requirements and the functionalities of a software system. One prerequisite for successful prototyping is the existence of suitable tools to quickly implement the prototype. In this article we report about experiences by using the PROGRES system for rapid prototyping and whether we met the goal. Therefore, we will take a look at the development process of the prototype and its resulting specification. The development of a specific architecture design tool is used as an example. ©Springer-Verlag 2004.
