Abstract

The objective of the article is to reconstruct the formation and development of social forces that participated in the National Strike, addressing the problem of political subjectivities in subordinate groups through the analysis of a situation whose definition remains postponed and uncertain. The theoretical approach identifies changes in the power relations between social classes in the framework of the National Strike, tracing the changes in the forms of subjective assimilation of the structural contradictions of capitalism that provide the class content of the social struggle in three dimensions: subalternity, antagonism and autonomy. For this, the article addresses two moments: the social outbreak of 2019, with a retrospective look at the previous period of political accumulation; and, secondly, the moment of greatest volume and intensity of the mobilization, in 2021, contrasting the attitude of the National Strike Committee towards the protest with emerging leadership instances, such as the National Popular Assembly.
