Abstract

Neurocritical care nursing requires a specific training program consisting of specialty training in neuroscience nursing and general critical care. The needs of neurocritical care patients span a continuum from post-operative care to medical-surgical critical care focused on the central nervous and other organ systems as a patient’s condition evolves.
