Abstract

Enterprise modelling (EM) is a prerequisite to enterprise integration. EM consists of building models of various facets of the enterprise. ACNOS is a research project funded by the French Ministry for Research and Technology and devoted to the analysis of structured and nonstructured activities in production systems. The paper first describes the ACNOS project and defines structured and non-structured activities and processes. Then it presents an approach for functional modelling based on IDEF3x, an extension of the IDEF3 formalism. Finally, it discusses an approach for organisation analysis using an economic model for performance evaluation (based on performance indicators and drivers) and a cognitive model for soft issues (i.e., to understand and represent how decisions are made and to explicit knowledge, know-how and human competencies required for non-structured activities).
