Abstract

Stoichiometry is a Chemistry topic that presents great difficulty for secondary school students. Based on this information, a questionnaire was administered to private and public school students. Findings show that it is easier for students in the Chemistry Technical Course at CEFET Campos to understand that topic. An explanation for this may be the quality of the teachers and the compulsory practical classes in the course. The study indicates that the greatest difficulty for secondary school students in learning that content is the absence of examples and applications in everyday life.
