Abstract

Lidar measurements of atmospheric species and physical parameters have been performed. Measurements are performed in the stratosphere and mesosphere using resonance and Rayleigh scattering. As the detection of Rayleigh scattering up to 90 km came as a consequence of successive refinements on the resonant detection of the alkalis, both processes are presented in their chronological order as a source of geophysical data.
