Abstract

In contemporary Poland—which followed the path of evolution of other developed countries—advanced concepts of society development draw particular attention? The first references, in the socio-economic-political context, to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and activity based on its assumptions started to appear at the beginning of the 2000s. The paper aims to present organizations, key legal records and activity connected with CSR framework implemented in Poland. These practices and activities constitute a vital part of process of building modern society. Over a span of the last decade knowledge of the concept and involvement of decision-makers and entrepreneurs in socially responsible activity have been growing. It seems, however, that activities that have been undertaken so far have satisfied only a small fraction of actual social needs.
