Abstract

Over the last few decades, the worldwide demand for freshwater is expanding quickly as the supply of freshwater is limited. Solar still (SS) is a profitable sun oriented device that is utilized for changing over the brackish and saline water into clean water. A number of experiments have been performed on SS to evaluate its execution under various climatic and operational conditions. Besides experiments, theoretical investigations have also been helpful in assessing the importance of SS. In this chapter, distinctive methodologies which have been utilized for exergy investigation of solar stills are discussed in detail.
