Introduction: After a year since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, nutritional therapy has been shown to be a fundamental part of the integral care of critical patients. This BRASPEN technical report revises and updates the previous report on how to deal with COVID-19 and proposes suggestions to guide multidisciplinary nutritional therapy teams (MNTTs) in Brazil. Methods: The text reflects a compilation of the current literature updates on nutritional therapy for COVID-19 patients. Results: The combat against the COVID-19 pandemic currently has turned into a great challenge worldwide and nutritional therapy is an essential part of the critically ill patients’ integral care. The document tackles the patients’ evaluation, choosing the best formula, discusses the necessity calculation, the use of nutritional therapy for pronated patients in both ECMO and rehabilitation. Conclusion: It is emphasized that COVID-19 patients in EMTN treatment must receive nutritional therapy and the attention they need.
