Abstract

Health studies has the virtue of being a broad and interdisciplinary subject area that allows students to focus on the central topic of health without being confined to any one discipline. This book demonstrates how different disciplines construct health in different ways and have different ways of studying what health is and how it may be understood. This fourth edition of Health Studies has been revised and updated to ensure its continuing relevance and a new chapter on Sports and Exercise Science has been included.
