Abstract

In this article the author investigates Calvin’s view on the kingdom of God and eschatology. The first question to be answered is: how does one know (anything about eschatology)? Calvin’s answer is clear: only through the Word of God. The author continues to illustrate that for Calvin the expectation of the kingdom and the eschaton does not frustrate or annihilate the present, but stimulates and directs human activities.
