Abstract

Starting from the expressions of the Generalized Lorenz Mie Theory (GLMT), this paper first presents numerical results for the specific g//n coefficients involved in Gaussian beam scattering theory. These results are computed in the special case where on-axis scatters are considered. The localized interpretation of the g//n coefficients is then developed and discussed, leading to significant simplifications of the numerical computations. Finally, this localized interpretation is used for comparisons of the Generalized Lorenz Mie Theory with other experimental and theoretical data.
