Abstract

This paper presents algorithms for online auto-matic detection of artifacts in EEG recordings of adults and infants obtained through a heuristic methodology. The algo-rithm’s bases are basic digital signal processing procedures. For parameters adjustment we use ROC curves analysis. The algorithm was implemented in MatLab and the results eva-luated on 310 segments of 10s and 20 EEG recordings. Values of sensitivity and selectivity exceed 80% and the obtained execution time 60 ms results valid for online detection.
