Abstract

The paper reports on an exploratory study where we examine alpine route directions from the perspective of new and given information. The first results reveal traces of a “mountain scenario”—we encounter geographic entities that are introduced into the discourse as assumingly familiar to the reader, signalling a certain structure associated with alpine space.
