Abstract

Society tends to think of the disabled person as asexual (Cole 1975a). This is not true. The majority of spinal cord injured (SCI) patients are young and they tend to have young partners. Because of this, sexuality and fertility potential are of great concern. In this chapter we will review the sexual and fertility capabilities of the SCI patient and discuss techniques which may be used to improve them.
