Abstract

The product-type process is a kind of process in which raw materials go through multiple processing steps in a production facility and become a product for users. Due to the many process steps and long accumulated time, the raw materials often need to undergo complex and lengthy processing, resulting in complex systems and low efficiency. This paper defined the process efficiency as the ratio of “unit capacity” to “time” and “space”, and trimmed the process from the perspective of time and space. Summarized a set of trimming rules applicable for product-type process trimming. Transformed the function missing problem formed after trimming into technical and physical conflicts, solved them using the tools in TRIZ, and finally designed the principle solutions into specific solutions. Product-type process trimming is a full-time cycle analysis system from raw materials to product, which avoids the disadvantage of traditional substance-field model based on the instantaneous operation of the system. Finally, example demonstrated the feasibility of this method.
