Abstract

On February 27, 1892, the engineer Rudolf DieselRudolf Diesel filed a patent with the Imperial Patent Office in Berlin for a ``new rational heat engine''. On February 23, 1893, he was granted the patent Rudolf Diesel Patent DRP 67207 DRP 67207 for the ``Working Method and Design for Combustion Engines'' dated February 28, 1892.
