Abstract

Penile cancer is a rare tumor entity in Europe and North America, e.g., the estimated incidence in Germany is 1.4 cases per 100,000 men [ 1, 2 ]. Due to poor economic and hygienic conditions, the incidence in countries of South America and Southeast Asia is tenfold higher [ 1 ]. Penile cancer is most frequently found in men between 60 and 80 years. Younger patients often suffer from more aggressive subtypes. This fact has to be taken into consideration for treatment.
