Abstract

The Hyades K0 giants should all have the same age, mass, and gravity. Their UV continua therefore should be very similar. IUE data in the wavelength range 1800 - 2000 Å show, however, that their fluxes differ by large factors. Possible explanations for this phenomenon are considered.
