Abstract

This paper concerns a design, application, and testing of a Rogerian psychologist strategy for information elicitation in dialogue management. Our results show that keeping the initiative in dialogue at users' side as long as they know what to say improves information exchange rate by 37.5%. We also discuss applicability and implications for other domains. © Springer-Verlag 2013.
