Study on evaluation method of university library website

Abstract

In order to scientifically, objectively and reasonably evaluate university library website, this paper proposes a method based on Interval Analysis Hierarchy Process (IAHP), Linear Programming (LP) and Gray Clustering. Firstly, we calculate the interval-weight of evaluation index system by IAHP. Secondly, we construct linear programming model and work out the optimal weight of the assessed object by LP. At the same time, we apply the grey clustering method to evaluate and analyze the assessed object. Finally, we made an empirical analysis on ten university library websites, which verified the effectiveness of this method. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH Berlin Heidelberg.
