Abstract

The study was aimed to review the status of physicochemical characteristics of Pavana river, Pune. Comparative study of data of water quality has been studied from 2005 to 2013 and the physicochemical parameters such as pH, DO, COD, BOD, etc. has been compared. It was found that at many places the water is highly polluted. There was an increase in DO and decrease in COD, BOD contents in the water. For the statistical analysis, values of mean, standard déviations and corrélation were also calculated for the water quality characteristics.
