Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: Our primary objective is to conduct a systematic review of the randomised trials comparing intravenous 5-fluorouracil with any oral fluoropyrimidine to assess the effect of chemotherapy on overall survival in patients with colo-rectal cancer. Our secondary objective will be to assess the relative response rates, toxicities and effects on quality of life of these two treatments.
