Abstract

This chapter is concerned with the distribution, occurrence, and properties of Fe compounds as characteristics of soils in selected parts of the Southern Hemisphere resulting from pedological processes of formation and transformation. The discussion is necessarily selective and concentrates on the evidence obtained from soils and weathering residues from parts of Australia, southern Africa, New Zealand, and Antarctica. -from Author
