Abstract

The paper present the case study of the LIA services aimed at providing accessible e-books for blind and visual impaired readers in the mainstream publishing distribution channels. The service had been launched in June 2013 and the catalogue offers at the time of the publication of the paper more than 6.000 accessible e-books of fiction and non fiction, mainly new titles and best sellers. More than 400 titles are added every month thanks to the collaboration of more than 65 Italian publishers. © 2014 Springer International Publishing.
