Abstract

The cerebellar nuclei are the fi nal output structures of the cerebellum, integrating extra-cerebellar inputs from climbing fi bres and mossy fi bres with inhibitory signals from Purkinje cells. As in overlying cortical layers, cerebellar nuclei contain a mixture of glutamatergic and GABAergic neurons, which develop from the rhombic lip and ventricular zone, respectively.
