Abstract

Passive devices play a key role for the design of RFICs. They are required for functions such as biasing, filtering and impedance matching. Due to the resistive and reactive parasitics passive devices exhibit losses. We can distinguish between distributed elements such as transmission lines, and lumped elements including inductors, capacitors and resistors
