The article discusses a court case wherein the former wife did not have a legitimate interest in frozen assets and child support order did not have priority over white-collar crime victim restitution. The Freeze and Seize Law of the California Penal Code allows the court in white-collar criminal cases to take possession of assets under the control of defendant and preserve them for restitution payment. The court denied the claim that a child support order receive priority over restitution order.
