Abstract

Various organic compounds for conventional color photography by chromogenic development are reviewed. Compounds concerned with the dynamic processes of color development, i. e., color forming coupler, colored coupler, development inhibitor releasing (DIR) compounds and quinone-diimine scavenger, and with the static properties of color image such as hue and dye stability, are briefly described. © 1983, The Society of Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Japan.
