Abstract

The aim of this paper is to describe the processes and partial results related to the Social Skills Development Program for Talented Youth. The program consists of 13 weekly meetings of 1 hr 40 min centered on different skills sets of civility, communication, empathy, assertiveness, emotional expression and self-control, and resolution of interpersonal conflicts. One hundred and twenty-eight adolescents with a mean age of 18.9 years old (SD=4,93) participated in the program. The positive aspects were the self-monitoring activities, the tutors' mediation, and the group interactions.
