Abstract

This chapter describes the locations where teenage parents, their parents and the people who work with them took part in the fieldwork for this study. By discovering the geographical, social, economic and cultural contexts for the study, the reader will begin to understand the lives of the teenage parents and their families. The theoretical frameworks that inform data collection and analysis are also outlined.
