Abstract
The sessions on Maritime Cultural Landscape at the 41st Annual Conference on Historical and Underwater Archaeology in Albuquerque, New Mexico, were held in early January 2008. It was a fascinating experience to take in what had become of the concept maritime cultural landscape overseas. I was invited to be one of the discussants. Since I had never been to the USA, I took the challenge gladly.
